Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of orevant.com and the Orevant compliance platform (the "Services"), operated by Orevant ("Orevant," "we," "us"). By creating an account or purchasing a product you agree to these Terms. Questions: hello@orevant.com.

1. The Services

Orevant provides compliance information tools for public water systems through a single monthly subscription, plus free lookup and reference tools. Compliance information presented by the platform is generated from public regulatory data and a rules knowledge base, and is provided for informational purposes.

2. Not legal or regulatory advice

Orevant does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for your state primacy agency, a licensed operator, or qualified counsel. Findings marked as unverified or informational are not determinations of violation. You are responsible for verifying compliance conclusions with your state primacy agency before acting on them.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the security or integrity of the Services.

4. Purchases, subscriptions, and cancellation

Orevant ($199/month, everything included). Bills monthly and includes the full platform for your water system: your compliance report (delivered as findings in your account, a downloadable report, and your full funding match), compliance calendar and reminders, regulatory alerts, continuous funding scanning, document vault, and application-prep packets. Additional water-system workspaces can be added from inside your account and are billed as shown there. Cancel any time from Billing in your account or by emailing hello@orevant.com; cancellation stops future billing and access continues through the period you have already paid for.

Prices may change with 30 days’ notice; changes never apply retroactively to a paid period.

5. Refund policy

Your first month is refundable within 14 days of initial signup — email hello@orevant.com or use Billing in your account. Subsequent periods are not refunded. Cancelling stops future billing at the end of your current period.

6. Your data

You retain ownership of documents and records you upload. You grant Orevant a limited license to store and process them solely to provide the Services. We do not share your organization's data with other customers and do not automatically send it to regulators. See our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Services: no unauthorized access, scraping at disruptive volume, reselling without agreement, interfering with other customers, or using the Services to violate law.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Public regulatory data may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors originating with the source agency; Orevant surfaces retrieval dates and sources so you can verify. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orevant disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orevant will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data. Orevant's total liability for any claim arising out of the Services is limited to the amounts you paid Orevant in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnification

You will indemnify Orevant against third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and attempt informal resolution for 30 days.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
